Logan Clutch Expands

03/09/11-Logan Clutch is a family owned business that was founded in 1975. After years of steady growth the company out-grew its original facility in downtown Cleveland and moved to Westlake. It was here, in 1996, on Ranney Parkway that the Fogg Design Build team constructed a modern office and manufacturing facility that met their current needs. Both Fogg and Logan worked together to ensure that the building was designed to allowed the most efficient layout possible for the Logan Clutch manufacturing process.

While the building provided this efficient layout for the Logan operation, the design build team also recognized that this building would need to grow with the company. With this in mind the Fogg team built into the design a plan for future expansion that could be executed with little or no interruption to the manufacturing process.

In the fall of 2010 Fogg got the chance to use this built-in expansion plan. An additional 12,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space was added onto the facility without any interruption to the daily ongoing manufacturing process. The new addition includes additional manufacturing space and also a unique in-house testing facility for Logan Clutch products. The state of the art test facility allows real testing of the clutches utilizing the same large diesel engines that they will be installed on in the field. This allows the customers to witness the actual tests and see the Logan Clutch products in use.  The testing facility includes engine foundations, diesel exhaust systems, cooling components and dynamometer equipment housed in a soundproof room to provide actual test conditions for the Logan Clutch components.
